hey guys, ok so as you know tonight I met Alicia keys. *ahhhhhhhhh! I love her* we arrived at the s.e.c.c at about 6.15 and saw Alicia’s tour bus causally sitting outside which got me and Amanda excited. we had been told to meet Big Rob (Alicia bodyguard) at the box office so after going to the toilet and buying merchandise we did just that. Rob was late and came at about 7! he immediately seemed to like me after telling me Alicia was in a bad mood and was not going to speak to us, I was not too happy but Rob was joking. *is it just me or are all these 'stars' security big softies?' anyway... after introducing himself, he gathered us in a circle and called out our names one by one, checking everyone’s tickets , confirmation emails and id. after everyone was searched he lined us up *about 20 people* and escorted us backstage where we stood against a wall. he then came over and told us Alicia was not going to be ready till about 7.45 so we could go do what we want and make our way backstage for that time. so once the group started gathering again we were checked by security and took to the wall we stood previously, just behind the stage. me and Amanda felt bad because everyone had gifts for Alicia and we didn’t so this woman in front gave us a Scottish alarm clock *don’t ask*. this woman won a radio competition and was clearly drunk, she thought she was hear to see rihanna LOL. anyway Rob came down and made sure no one had jumped in the queue that shouldn’t have been there. then the door opened. and a guard asked for all the contest winners to come out. two minutes later the group appeared with huge smiles on their faces. next at was our turn, we walked outside were this make shift black tent thing was set up. me and Amanda were anxious we would be saying 'hi' to Alicia and be brought out like the group that had just been in. we walked into this black tent thinking it was the holding area but the wind blew open the door and there she was ALICIA KEYS talking to a couple. her assistant was standing in the corner. I was in awe literally staring at her. she gradually made her way past the couple *who were the biggest suck ups ever...they wrote poems, gave her flowers and chocolates and claimed to have followed her around the globe. aherrrmmm STALKER alert* then after these three guys she came to me and Amanda... 'hey how are you?' Alicia said... Amanda 'im good... can I have a hug?' Alicia hugged Amanda and turned towards me, she smiled and I laughed. I was so nervous and star struck!! :$ she asked me how I was and in turn I asked for a hug, she smelled good and kissed her on the cheek... awwwwww! :L then she spoke to the group like we were best friends and was cracking jokes, she was really funny! she then went round the group of 7 again asking where we were from...me Amanda were the only people form Scotland there and Alicia was like ...' Scotland, here? WOW...cool aww finally, I have never played a proper show in Scotland so its good to see I have some Scottish fans.' she was so incredibly sweet. *I mimicked her accent saying 'Scotland' which made her giggle *she has one funny laugh.* I wish I recording the conversation because it was really random and funny but Alicia was hilarious and spoke to everyone for about 5 minutes each. then she started talking about how beautiful the weather was and how she has been all over Europe and it has never been so hot, she said Scotland is an 'inspiring' country and she loves it here. then she was asked her assistant if she had a pen and Alicia said ' ok so I will sign a few things then we can have some pictures then just chill out ok?' mhmmm Alicia ;) so again she made her way around the group, the suck ups at the start of the circle had loads of cds and even though we were told she would only sign one thing she signed all the guys cd covers. I whispered to Amanda to get my cd out, even though I had my programme for her to sign. the guy gave her the 'as I am' cover and he was like 'you don’t have to sign the front cos I know some people don’t like to sign their own faces.' this prompted Alicia to draw a moustache and bushy eyebrows on her own face. I was laughing so hard, she’s so down to earth. she got to the three guys one who had already met her last year and she signed his picture *she lied she remembered meeting him* (one of the guys had a picture of Alicia in her underwear to sign - Big Rob took it off them :L ) she came to me and I had my programme, Amanda asked her to sign the front of hers but she said it would just rub off so we had to find a page inside... I quickly tried to find my fav pic before she came to me but she was already here, so she signed the first picture inside. she was like so what’s your name 'emmm Jim' Alicia-'john?' 'no Jim...J-I-M...!' 'ohhh jay I emm, cool I like that name it reminds me of jimstones' I laughed. she kind of looked at me as though I was weird but I think she kind of couldn’t understand me. she moved to the two girls and one was like ' did you enjoy banger?' Alicia- 'what? did you curse?! where is it?' 'ohm the radio one, yeahh I loved it, the sun was out it was so hot and everyone waited in that big stupid tent and they couldn’t breathe but the energy was amazing!' she kept on talking *she was really talkative* 'yerahh umm you know people kept saying banger to me but I thought it was just a word they used, I was like nodding all day and didn’t know what they were talking about.' im guessing Alicia’s not good with geography lol anyway after 20 minutes of general talking she started taking pictures, her assistant using a camera. one by one they went up and got a picture with Alicia. I was staring at her whilst she posed with this guy and she looked at me really strangely and laughed, I honestly think she thought I was weird. she was wearing gold boots, skinny jeans a light blue cotton jumper with 'love, glamour...' printed on and a tight dark cardigan... *ok I was checking her out! she’s HOTTTT!* then she was like ' ok? so you are together *pointing to me and Amanda* c'mon!' we went up, me on the left Amanda on the right. I went to put my drink down and 'the element of freedom' slipped out my hand and smashed onto the floor. CRINGGGEEE! she laughed and said 'dude you dropped me. damn that’s me...!' I then continued to kick it away making the case break even more in an effort to not stand on her cd...I felt so bad. anyway I started to laugh whilst me smiled for the camera...Alicia-'ok take another just incise!' then Alicia laughed cause I kind of tickled her back *don’t know why, wanted to feel her up!* me- 'don’t laugh, its not funny!' then Amanda laughed so we had to take another picture whilst Alicia tried to laugh under her breath. then we hugged her and she moved onto the next two people...I turned and said bye and she winked at me. just like that we were back outside the tent and back backstage. Big Rob said bye and told us how to get the picture then escorted us into the arena. completely miffed but what just happened Melanie Fiona came on and blew everyone away with her voice! AMAZING vocals. then straight after Alicia came out and was incredible. the show was amazing. her voice was out of this world and she looked so beautiful. everyone knows like to dance and got o shows to enjoy myself so even though no one round about was standing up I was. this guy behind me grabbed my shirt and told me to sit down I replied... 'emm NO!' 5 minutes later his mate repeats what the other guy did which annoyed me. I shouted 'STAND UP...FUCK SAKE ENJOY THE SHOW!' ...when I saw beyonce she said ' if your sitting down then this is not the show for you!' and who cares if Alicia’s playing a piano or singing a ballad, its rude to want to sit. then this drunk woman grabbed my shirt... 'she wants you' pointing to another woman behind her....' you want to sit down, I cant see' 'ERMMM NAWWW!!!' 'if you want to stand up and dance then leave' ' I replied with a finger gesture that I think told her how I was feeling about her telling us to leave. next song I turns round and she’s up dancing. idiot. Another guy shouted ’ he is doing it on purpose now…rise above it!’ seriously who goes to a concert to sit there and fall asleep. anyway Alicia was amazing, she can REALLY sing and I feel so blessed to say I met her. she put on an amazing show and the audience loved her. she came back on for an encore saying this crowd was just incredible. earlier this week I met rihanna, she seemed tired and a little too concerned with herself whilst Alicia was talking to us like we were mates. this just shows how much of a star she is. she speaks to her fans, takes pictures and signs autographs and generally seemed interested in what we said to her. rihanna on the other hand made squeaky noises and pretended to be a cat. mmmmmmm! 'innnnnnnnnnnn scooootlannnnnnnnnnnnnnd, theres nothing you can do.'
